We at the Austrian Economics Center are happy to announce that Jeffrey A. Tucker, Editorial Director for the American Institute for Economic Research, and one of the leading advocates for liberty in the world, has joined us as Distinguished Senior Fellow. The process started with our interview with him in December on his recent book Right-Collectivism: The Other Threat to Liberty, and was completed yesterday.
Jeffrey Tucker, next to his work at the AIER, is also a managing partner of Vellum Capital, a Honorary Fellow of Mises Brazil, founder and Chief Liberty Officer of Liberty.me, an adviser to blockchain application companies, past editorial director of the Foundation for Economic Education (FEE) and Laissez Faire Books, founder of the CryptoCurrency Conference, and author of many thousands of articles in the scholarly and popular press and eight books in 5 languages. He speaks widely on topics of economics, technology, social philosophy, and culture.
Tucker is an early adopter of cryptocurrency who was out in front with the intellectual defense of the theory, practice, and future of synthetic monies and assets. He was one of the first writers in the tradition of Austrian economics to explain the viability of the currency as an alternative to national monies and the realization of F.A. Hayek’s vision of the denationalization of money and choice in currency. He has written more than 200 articles on the topic in the scholarly and popular press.
We are more than delighted by the news that Jeffrey Tucker is joining us, and are confident that he will be of great help in our endeavor to spread the message of liberty around Europe and the entire world.
