Any efforts aimed at reconciling Ukraine and Russia are absolutely inappropriate while they are murdering the best of us, kidnapping our children and placing them in Russian families, terrorizing us, and destroying our lives and dreams. In our current situation, this is the only appropriate way for us to handle them

This says a lot about Ukrainians. His home was destroyed by Russians, but he came back to make his hometown more livable and erase some of the remnants of the tragedy that unfolded there so that others can return too.
